![]() ![]() To put that in perspective, it requires 6000 Zen to acquire the new ship pack. The Zen Store currency, or 'Zen' can be purchased at a quantity of 1 Zen for every 386 Refined Dillithium (just checked the Exchange). ![]() It is also an intellectually dishonest thing to say. There are a lot of folks that will claim that STO's strongest point is the everything available in the Zen Store can be purchased with ingame currency. The majority of the game's combat occurs in space, which is a tired rinse and repeat kind of combat that never fails to bore, as the engine is so old that nothing really new or interesting can ever be added to it without breaking the poor thing. The ingame models and graphics have the look and feel of Playstation 2 era gaming, which, if you're into nostalgia, is a home run for you. Craptic bought a ghetto intellectual property called Champions, a bad tabletop RPG from the early eighties and retooled the game to fit that). (that one was supposed to be Marvel Online, years ago, but Marvel took one look at the unbelievable garbage Craptic had thrown together and pulled the plug immediately. It's bare bones are the same trash that 'runs' Champions Online, another disastrous failure of Craptics. The game's engine is around fifteen years old and was behind the curve even when it was debuted. ![]() Not 'oh that's annoying' kind of bugs, but came crashing item deleting character destroying bugs that Craptic doesn't address or acknowledge. Their game is a disaster of incredibly broken game balance (seriously, you have to see it to believe) paywalls for even an 'ok' ship, and endless bugs that have riddled the game since launch and never been corrected. #Star trek online race seriesThis 'game' is a thinly veneered series of scams designed to force you to remain logged in so the development company 'Craptic Studios' can take those numbers to Perfect World Entertainment and prove they have a hit game. #Star trek online race downloadAs long as you don't want to play the actual Enterprise(beyond the starter ship that you buy, only to outlevel it in 20 minutes), Klingons, Romulans, PvP, or lag-free.Īhh what can be said about Star Trek Online? First and most importantly DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR PLAY THIS GAME. TL DR: If you heart Captain Kirk, and want to shell out hundreds of dollars to look at virtual Star Trek ships, this is for you. They keep introducing massive power creep that only adds to it, and it never gets better. The lag has been horrid for well over a year, now. The gamblebox stuff is highly prevalent, and the drop rates from (paying to) opening one are less than 1% to get something that isn't garbage. Instead of faction balance, they just continuously throw Federation content at you- there are "buy me!" indications everywhere. There are 3 factions, but, really, if you don't play the Federation one, you endure endless bugs that never get fixed. PVP is not only ignored, mechanics are introduced regularly to make it unplayable. And to be competitive, you need several of these $30 ships. End game ships are $30 each- sure, you TECHNICALLY don't have to buy them, but to grind the Zen you would need for 1 ship (3000), at 22 zen per day (that's if you never use dilithium), it isn't really feasible. There is much the game has to offer, if you have a deep pocket.STO is a game trying to bilk money out of Star Trek Fans who want to look at their Federation ships. To finish up, the musical score is well done, the map is extensive, the star ships look beautiful, and the game really makes you feel like a Starfleet officer (or whichever faction you decide to play as). ![]() Next con is occasionally the game mechanics won't work, resulting in the player being unable to complete a mission because a) a certain enemy didn't spawn b) an item cannot be picked up c) your bridge officers won't work properly etc. There are ships rewarded to the player for being promoted, but besides those few ships it all costs an arm and a leg. In order to actually stay on top of your enemies and assignments, a ship with decent speed and energy reserves is required, which can only be bought by ARC's zen in-game currency. That brings in the first con to the game, the money grab notion that most companies are falling for these past few years. Endless options appear for the player, that is, if you have enough money with a steady income. Next best thing the game has going for it is the customization for both the player's character, ship, and crew. The plot of the whole game is so well written that it encompasses the whole of the Star Trek universe, both past and present. The graphics mostly are decent, the game play is good, but the best part of the game has to be the plot. Star Trek Online is one of the best games I have had the opportunity to play. ![]()

![]() This allows the child to feel the difference in the letter formations through movement, not just visually. ![]() Using the whole body, or at least the top half of the body to air write is also a great option. I also like that the I Can Build Letter magnets won't move around once you place them on the magnetic surface (something that can be frustrating for young learners if you just use wood sticks to build letters). Both of these provide sensory input with multiple sensory systems. I also like the Muscle Mover Cards from Fundanoodle and I Can Build Letter magnets. Using tactile writing methods such as sandpaper letters, sand writing, or the Handwriting Without Tears Wet, Dry, Try approach are great options. For each letter line and stroke, change up the color so your student can see the difference in the strokes.Īny handwriting practice should include more than just a pencil and paper. Visual cues and prompts are often helpful for those struggling with letter reversals. #SONONYM FOR LETTER REVERSAL HOW TO#This will give your child time to master one before adding in another variation of that letter.įor more information on how to introduce letters in groups, I suggest checking out my friend Jaime's How to Teach Letter Formations in Groups. You will notice that “d” and “b” (the most common reversal) are not in the same grouping here. Some common groupings include c, d, g, o, q and t, l, f, h, and b. Letters with diagonal lines should be last since this is the developmental progression of pre-writing lines. If you look at it from the development of pre-writing lines, starting with letters that have horizontal, vertical, and circle shapes should come first. Many of us would think that starting with “A” would be the best place to start, but teaching letters in groups are often the best way to address many handwriting and reading concerns. So we will be looking at a lot of different visual processing ways to address letter reversals. Reading is not my specialty, although reading and writing are closely connected. Since I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant, I am coming at this purely from a handwriting perspective. Ways to Help Stop Letter Reversals in Handwriting So let's look at some ways you can help support good habits with handwriting and address letter reversals. This can lead to bad habits forming with handwriting which can cause issues later on. If you have a younger child, it doesn't mean you should wait till 3rd grade to address any letter or number reversals. If your child is entering the 3rd grade and still has issues with letter reversals, you will want to consider some additional evaluations to see if your child could be struggling with a learning difficulty.Ĭommon letter reversals include “d” and b”, “p” and “q”, “w” and “m”, and “n” and “u”. ![]() ![]() It is not as simple as this since Dyslexia is much more complex than just letter reversals. It can mean that they lack the experience as a reader and writer to tell the difference between letters.Ī common misconception is that letter reversals means your child could have dyslexia. This does not mean your child has a learning difficulty. The reason for this has been suggested to be poor working memory and also a lack of visual processing skills. ![]() Occasional reversals past age 8 are common too. Letter reversals can be common in many children up until age 7, or 3rd grade. You might be feeling concerned that your child or an older student is dealing with letter reversals (and don't forget number reversals). Should I Be Concerned About Letter Reversals? ![]() |
